It's a truly unique place, because it has the snowy mountain tops of the usual "southern destinations" of Argentina, but it also has de ocean right there, the Beagle channel.
The second you get there you feel like you are at a very exotic destination. The shops kinda brainwash you all the time telling you that you are at "the end of the world", and after a while you really get into it. There's also people from all over the world, that reach the city in huge cruise ships that can be seen at the harbor.
I went by car from Rio Gallegos, the southernmost city in continental Argentina, and the travel was quite unique itself. In order to cross the Strait of Magellan, you have to go to Chile first. Once at the coast, you put the car in a giant ferry, that takes about 15 minutes to reach the island of Tierra del Fuego, and along the way I saw some sea lions and some dolphins that were black and white like orcas.
The landscape in Ushuaia it's beautiful, it's that kind of forest that I love so much. The weather, thoug, was not as nice, it can go from beautiful sunny day, to windy, cloudy and raining in a few minutes. And that happens several times during the day.
Another great aspect about Ushuaia it's that is full of history. From the early inhabitants, the "Yámanas" (who lived naked in below 0 degrees temperatures!), and the first visitors (like Charles Darwin and Fitz Roy), to the foundation of the city, and the construction of a prison that once holded argentina's most fearful delinquents (now works as a museum).
Now I'm back in Buenos Aires, and it kinda feels like a concrete jungle being in such a huge city. Also I have to start studing again, so that makes me kinda blue.
But anyways, I had a truly wonderful time in Ushuaia, I did lots of things. I sailed the Beagle channel, I climbed some mountains, I met wonderful people from all over the world, and I touched snow for the first time in more than 10 years! It was a great trip and I took loads of pictures, so I'll be posting some soon.
Also, over 2000 pageviews now, so thanks to everybody and anybody who ever visited my gallery.

Mother Superior...
Your answer is in there, just stare down the barrel
Your sincerest apologies, won't write you out of this one
Tonight... you'll find the right
In the pull of the trigger, now bite
Oh young fools, don't cry... not anymore
